OUTREACH
VIVA VIENNA
We attend the annual Viva Vienna festival to connect with local businesses and spread the word about robotics to the broader Vienna community! We always bring one of our robots, demonstrating the fun work that we do in Madison Robotics.
STEM CAMPS
We host youth camps at James Madison High School to teach elementary school students about robotics and STEM! Students get to participate in an egg drop, LEGO challenge, catapult contest, balloon car race, and a whole lot more, introducing them to engineering.
STEM NIGHTS
We visit many elementary schools, including Marshall Road, Cunningham Park, and Louise Archer, to showcase what STEM looks like at the high school level. We try to inspire kids to get involved in STEM as they make their way closer to high school!
TREE SALE
We assist the Optimist Club of Greater Vienna with their annual Christmas tree sale, helping them raise money for local youth groups and scholarships. We have a lot of fun meeting people from all around Northern Virginia who want to buy a tree for the holidays!
SHELTERS
We have taught robotics to kids from a local homeless shelter, introducing them to engineering and electronics skills. Our goal is to make sure that STEM is accessible to absolutely everyone!
EDUCATION NIGHT
We present at the annual Vienna Optimist Education Night to show club members how our robotics program is run. We want to explain the importance and necessity of having STEM education in our community!
ACTIVITIES FAIR
We reach out to eighth graders from Thoreau Middle School to guide them toward a future in STEM. We want as many people as possible at James Madison High School to be involved with STEM activities!
